Agriculture stakeholders have up to February 23 to submit their views on the Irrigation Bill 2017 which has undergone First Reading in the National Assembly.

According to an advert in one of the dailies, the Irrigation Bill seeks to promote and regulate the development and management of irrigation in Kenya.

The Bill further sets out powers of the National Government in the regulation of irrigation and in particular the powers of the Cabinet Secretary.

Any farmer or stakeholder with any views on the Bill can submit representations to The Clerk, National Assembly, Main Parliament Buildings PO Box 41842-00100 Nairobi or email before February 23, 2018 at 5 pm.
